DENTAL Hygienist

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience as a Dental Hygienist or in a related dental care role.
• No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
• Female applicants are preferred for this role.
• Experience in dental cleaning, preventive care, patient education, and chairside assistance is an advantage.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, infection control procedures, and oral healthcare practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Perform professional dental cleaning by removing plaque, tartar, and stains from patients’ teeth.
• Examine patients for signs of oral diseases, including gingivitis, periodontal disease, and other oral health conditions.
• Take and develop dental X-rays in accordance with local regulations and clinic protocols.
• Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride applications and dental sealants.
• Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, oral hygiene practices, and preventive dental care.
• Record and maintain accurate patient oral health histories and treatment records.
• Assist dentists during examinations and treatment planning when required.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain infection control procedures.
• Ensure compliance with clinic policies, health regulations, and infection prevention standards.
• Promote a positive and comfortable experience for patients throughout their dental visits.
