Concrete Block Manufacturing Technician

Qualifications:

• Must have 3–5+ years of experience operating and maintaining production machinery.
• Experience in concrete block manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Must be proficient in starting, monitoring, operating, and adjusting automated machinery and control systems.
• Must have strong troubleshooting and repair skills for mechanical and plant equipment.
• Experience with Poyatos concrete block manufacturing machines is advantageous.
• Must have a solid understanding of preventative maintenance, equipment calibration, and industrial safety standards.
• Must be capable of identifying machine faults and taking appropriate corrective action.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and automated production systems is an advantage.
• Must be able to follow technical instructions, equipment manuals, maintenance procedures, and safety requirements.
• Must be physically capable of working in a manufacturing and industrial production environment.
• Must be reliable, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or as part of a production team.

Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and adjust automated concrete block manufacturing machinery and production systems.
• Start and shut down production equipment according to established operating procedures.
• Monitor machine performance, production output, product quality, and operating conditions.
• Adjust machine settings and control systems to maintain efficient production and consistent concrete block quality.
• Perform routine inspection, cleaning, lubrication, calibration, and preventative maintenance of production machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control-system problems affecting production equipment.
• Diagnose equipment faults and perform basic repairs or coordinate with maintenance personnel for more complex repairs.
• Inspect machinery and plant equipment for signs of wear, damage, malfunction, or abnormal operation.
• Assist with machine installation, setup, commissioning, adjustments, and production changeovers when required.
• Maintain production equipment, tools, and work areas in safe and serviceable condition.
• Record machine operating conditions, maintenance activities, faults, repairs, and production-related information.
• Follow equipment manuals, technical instructions, maintenance schedules, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Ensure machinery and production activities comply with workplace safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Work closely with production operators, maintenance technicians, supervisors, and other team members to minimize downtime.
• Support continuous improvement activities aimed at improving machine reliability, production efficiency, and product quality.
