Independent Food Company is seeking motivated and skilled Commis I, II & III to support kitchen operations by assisting in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene. The successful candidates will work closely with senior chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations and consistent food production.
Commis I, II & III
Qualifications:
- Male and Female applicants.
- Age requirement: 23–38 years old.
- Presentable with a confident and professional personality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well-groomed with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef, Kitchen Assistant, or similar food preparation role is an advantage.
- Holder of NC II in Cookery, Culinary Arts, Food Production, or related field is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Strong teamwork, discipline, and attention to detail.
- Willing to work in Saudi Arabia and adapt to workplace standards and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assist chefs in preparing, cooking, and presenting food items according to company standards and recipes.
- Perform food preparation tasks including washing, cutting, peeling, portioning, seasoning, and basic cooking procedures.
- Support assigned kitchen sections and assist senior kitchen staff during daily operations and service periods.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of food ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Assist in checking ingredient quality and report any shortages or issues to supervisors.
- Ensure proper portion control and consistency in food preparation.
- Support smooth kitchen workflow by coordinating with chefs and other kitchen team members.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Perform other kitchen-related duties assigned by the Chef or supervisor.
