Abdulrahman Al Bader Sons Co For Trading and Contracting Co. is seeking a highly experienced Coating Inspector for an overseas work opportunity in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting industrial coating and painting activities, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and QA/QC requirements across electro-mechanical, piping, pipeline, and industrial projects.

COATING INSPECTOR

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience as a Coating Inspector.
  • Must hold a valid BGAS-CSWIP Grade 2 certification.
  • Experience in electro-mechanical, industrial, piping, and pipeline projects.
  • Strong knowledge of coating inspection standards and QA/QC procedures.
  • Saudi Aramco experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in interpreting relevant engineering codes and standards.
  • Strong knowledge of abrasive blasting and surface preparation.
  • Knowledge and experience with various industrial painting and protective coating systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong inspection, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineers, contractors, QA/QC teams, and project management.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct coating inspections throughout surface preparation, abrasive blasting, painting, and coating application activities.
  • Verify that coating work complies with approved specifications, procedures, drawings, and applicable standards.
  • Inspect surface cleanliness, surface profile, environmental conditions, coating thickness, curing, and final coating quality.
  • Monitor abrasive blasting operations and verify compliance with required surface preparation standards.
  • Inspect and verify the proper application of various industrial painting and protective coating systems.
  • Perform inspection and testing using appropriate coating inspection equipment.
  • Identify coating defects, non-conformities, and workmanship issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review and verify inspection records, test results, material certificates, and other QA/QC documentation.
  • Interpret applicable codes, standards, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC personnel, engineers, contractors, and project teams regarding coating inspection activities.
  • Ensure coating activities are performed in accordance with approved quality procedures and safety requirements.
  • Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation of coating activities and findings.
  • Participate in quality inspections, audits, and corrective-action processes.
  • Support project teams in resolving coating-related quality issues.
  • Ensure coating inspection activities comply with client and project requirements.
  • Perform other duties related to coating inspection and QA/QC as assigned by management.
