CNC TOOL MAKER/MOULD MAKER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing plastic injection moulds.
• Proven experience manufacturing, maintaining, repairing, and fitting plastic injection moulds.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs.
• Proficient in OneCNC, SolidWorks, or similar CAD/CAM software.
• Experience programming and operating Haas and Fanuc CNC machines.
• Skilled in operating milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, and EDM Wire & Sinker machines.
• Excellent precision machining, inspection, and measurement skills.
• Strong knowledge of micrometers, calipers, gauges, and precision measuring equipment.
• Experience designing and manufacturing custom jigs, fixtures, and tooling.
• Knowledge of hot runner systems is essential.
• High attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship and commitment to quality.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a skilled manufacturing team.

Responsibilities:

• Manufacture, maintain, repair, and fit plastic injection moulds for production.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and technical specifications.
• Design and manufacture precision tooling, jigs, fixtures, and custom components for manufacturing and assembly.
• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines using Haas and Fanuc controls.
• Operate manual and CNC equipment, including milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, and EDM (Wire and Sinker) machines.
• Utilize CAD/CAM software such as OneCNC and SolidWorks to create machining programs and tooling designs.
• Perform precision machining to extremely tight tolerances.
• Measure and inspect finished components using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Assemble, fit, test, and troubleshoot mould components to ensure proper function.
• Repair, sharpen, adjust, and rebuild tooling to maintain performance and extend service life.
• Diagnose mould defects and recommend corrective actions to improve production efficiency.
• Work with hot runner systems, ensuring proper installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Maintain accurate production, inspection, and maintenance records.
• Follow workplace health, safety, and quality management procedures at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
• Perform other tooling and mould-making duties assigned by management.
