CAREGIVER (PERSONAL CARE WORKER)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience is required.
• Must be a Vocational Diploma/Short Course Certificate holder in Caregiving or a related field.
• Female applicants are preferred for this role.
• Experience caring for elderly, sick, or disabled clients is required.
• Knowledge of basic caregiving, personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and medication assistance.
• Compassionate, patient, responsible, and trustworthy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and capable of assisting clients with mobility and daily activities.
• Able to work independently and provide attentive, respectful, and reliable care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist elderly, sick, or disabled clients with activities of daily living.
• Provide personal care and hygiene assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to the client’s needs and preferences.
• Administer basic medications as instructed by the client’s physician or authorized healthcare professional.
• Assist clients with mobility, walking, transfers, and prescribed exercises.
• Monitor and report changes in the client’s physical or emotional condition.
• Maintain a clean, safe, comfortable, and organized living environment.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with daily routines, appointments, and other personal activities as required.
• Follow proper health, safety, hygiene, and infection-control practices.
• Maintain appropriate records of care provided and report concerns to the family or supervisor.
• Perform other caregiving duties as assigned.
