Overseas Labor Recruiting (OLR) is seeking skilled and experienced Bakers to join prestigious hospitality establishments in Austria. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality breads, pastries, and baked goods while maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene, and quality standards in a professional kitchen environment.
BAKER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of international experience as a Baker or Pastry Baker in luxury hotels or cruise ships.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts or a related field.
- Must possess a TESDA NC II certificate in Bread and Pastry Production or a related qualification.
- Strong knowledge of commercial baking techniques, ingredients, and bakery equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
- Good communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked products according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Measure, mix, knead, proof, shape, and bake dough using appropriate baking techniques.
- Decorate and finish baked products to meet presentation standards.
- Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product quality throughout the production process.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients and finished products.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery, workstations, tools, and equipment.
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Assist in inventory control and report ingredient shortages to supervisors.
- Work closely with kitchen and pastry teams to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
- Perform other bakery-related duties assigned by the Head Baker or Kitchen Supervisor.
Skills & Competencies:
- Expertise in bread, pastry, and baked goods production.
- Strong knowledge of baking methods, fermentation, and dough preparation.
- Ability to operate commercial bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail, consistency, and product presentation.
- Good organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional kitchen.
- Commitment to food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
