OWS Automotive is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring all vehicles are serviced according to manufacturer specifications and company quality standards. The ideal applicant has strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality automotive repair services.
Automotive Mechanic
Qualifications:
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in automotive mechanical repairs and maintenance.
- Vocational training or an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related mechanical field.
- TESDA NC II Certification in Automotive Servicing or an equivalent qualification is required.
- Strong knowledge of automotive engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, braking, and cooling systems.
- Skilled in using automotive diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and workshop machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair documentation.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding mechanical work.
- Able to work independently and as part of a professional workshop team.
- Willing to work in the United Arab Emirates under the employer’s policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical faults in gasoline and diesel vehicles.
- Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacement, lubrication, tire rotation, and scheduled servicing.
- Repair and replace engine, transmission, suspension, steering, braking, cooling, fuel, and exhaust system components.
- Conduct engine tune-ups and perform mechanical adjustments to improve vehicle performance.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical problems accurately.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and repair procedures.
- Perform brake system inspections, repairs, and replacements.
- Inspect and repair suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems.
- Test-drive vehicles after repairs to ensure proper operation and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate service records, repair reports, and maintenance documentation.
- Ensure workshop tools and equipment are properly maintained and kept in a clean and organized condition.
- Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
- Perform other mechanical repair and maintenance duties assigned by management.
