Auto Electrician

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as an Auto Electrician.
  • Technical or Vocational Certificate in Automotive Servicing, Automotive Electrical Technology, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems, wiring, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Experience using automotive diagnostic scanners, multimeters, and electrical testing equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
  • Basic English communication skills.
  • Must possess a valid passport with at least 2 years of remaining validity.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Physically fit and capable of working in an automotive workshop environment.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose electrical and electronic faults using specialized diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
  • Repair, replace, and maintain vehicle wiring, electrical circuits, batteries, alternators, starters, and ignition systems.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and service lighting systems, sensors, control modules, switches, and electronic accessories.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on vehicle electrical systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Inspect and test electrical components to identify faults and recommend appropriate repairs.
  • Install and configure automotive electrical accessories such as alarms, audio systems, GPS units, and other electronic devices when required.
  • Conduct functional testing after repairs to verify proper operation of electrical systems.
  • Maintain accurate service records, repair documentation, and inspection reports.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards while performing electrical repair work.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and in good working condition.
  • Perform other automotive electrical repair and maintenance duties assigned by supervisors.
