Assistant Production Planner
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in production planning, manufacturing, supply chain, inventory control, or production coordination is preferred.
- Degree or relevant qualification in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business
- Administration, or a related field is an advantage.
- Understanding of production planning and scheduling processes.
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations and production workflows.
- Ability to monitor production schedules and identify delays or resource constraints.
- Familiarity with inventory management and material requirements planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using ERP, MRP, or production planning systems is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly production plans and schedules.
- Coordinate production schedules according to customer orders, inventory levels, available resources, and delivery requirements.
- Monitor production progress and update production schedules when changes or delays occur.
- Coordinate with production, warehouse, purchasing, sales, and logistics teams regarding production requirements.
- Check the availability of raw materials, packaging materials, machinery, manpower, and other resources needed for production.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify potential material shortages that may affect production schedules.
- Assist in preparing material requirements and coordinating with purchasing and warehouse departments.
- Track production orders from planning through completion.
- Maintain accurate production planning records, schedules, reports, and documentation.
- Monitor actual production output against planned production targets and report variances.
- Assist in identifying production delays, bottlenecks, material shortages, and other issues affecting the production schedule.
- Coordinate with production supervisors regarding machine availability, manpower requirements, and production priorities.
- Prepare production reports and provide updates to the Production Planner or management.
- Assist with analyzing production data to improve scheduling and resource utilization.
- Ensure production plans are updated based on changes in customer orders, material availability, or production capacity.
- Maintain accurate data in production planning, ERP, or manufacturing systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning and operational efficiency.
- Follow company policies, quality procedures, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Perform other production planning and coordination duties as assigned.
