ACCOUNTANT (CPA)

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 10 year(s) of working experience is required.
• Candidates must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or similar fields.
• Advanced knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Pronto, and expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and numerical skills.
• Proven leadership experience in training, developing, supervising, and evaluating finance personnel.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong focus on results and effective collaboration.

Responsibilities: 

• Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with IFRS standards.
  Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process and conduct regular budget variance analysis to support business decisions.
  Ensure compliance with PNG Internal Revenue Commission (IRC) requirements, including GST, SWT, and corporate tax obligations.
  Coordinate internal and external audits while maintaining strong financial controls, corporate governance, and transparency.
  Monitor FMCG supply chain costs, inventory valuation, and stock shrinkage to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
  Manage cash flow, liquidity, banking relationships, credit control, and other financial activities for the division.
  Lead and develop finance personnel while collaborating with management and cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
