Philandco Human Resources Corp., in partnership with Mikel Hoxha PF, is inviting qualified applicants with proven experience in agriculture, nursery farming, and general farm labor for an overseas work opportunity in Albania. Successful applicants will perform various farming activities, including planting, cultivating, maintaining, and harvesting crops.
AGRICULTURAL WORKER / FARMER
Qualifications:
- Valid passport holder.
- Proven experience in agriculture, nursery farming, or general farm labor.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of plant biology, soil types, and seasonal growth cycles.
- Knowledge of proper seed planting, including appropriate planting depth and soil moisture.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy soil bags and agricultural materials.
- Able to stand and work for long periods.
- Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willing to work early hours and adapt to changing seasonal schedules.
- Hardworking, responsible, and willing to learn.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong interest and willingness to work in agriculture and farming.
Responsibilities:
- Plant, cultivate, weed, fertilize, irrigate, and harvest fruits, vegetables, and grains.
- Perform general agricultural and nursery farming activities.
- Prepare soil and planting areas for cultivation.
- Plant seeds at appropriate depths and maintain proper soil moisture.
- Monitor plant growth and identify signs of pests, diseases, or other problems.
- Assist with nursery operations, including transplanting, watering, pruning, and maintaining plants.
- Apply fertilizers and other approved agricultural products according to instructions.
- Assist with harvesting, sorting, and handling agricultural produce.
- Lift and move soil bags, tools, plants, harvested crops, and other farm materials.
- Maintain farm tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Follow proper agricultural practices and workplace safety procedures.
- Adapt to changing weather conditions and seasonal farming schedules.
- Work early hours and extended hours when required by farm operations.
- Work cooperatively with other farm workers and supervisors.
- Perform other agricultural duties as assigned.
