LEAD INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Diploma / Higher National Certificate in Instrumentation, Control, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in instrumentation commissioning, including supervisory/lead roles.
• Extensive field experience with Emerson DeltaV platforms in oil & gas, petrochemical, or power industries.
• Proven track record of leading teams in loop testing, functional testing, and commissioning activities.
• Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills for client and management interaction.
• Commitment to mentoring junior staff and driving a strong safety culture

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and execute field instrumentation commissioning activities
• Conduct loop checks, I/O testing, calibration, and functional testing
• Oversee integration with Emerson DeltaV control systems
• Review and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, and control logic
• Coordinate with engineers, vendors, and other disciplines to ensure smooth commissioning
• Manage documentation: test records, redlines, punch lists, and daily progress reports
• Ensure compliance with project specs, safety standards, and commissioning procedures
• Lead and mentor junior technicians; promote a strong safety culture
• Support system handovers and client inspections
