WAREHOUSE DEPUTY MANAGER SCM

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any four-year college course, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience in warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, or supply chain management.
  • At least 5 years of related experience in logistics and warehousing is preferred, as indicated in the employer’s requirements.
  • Good understanding of supply chain processes, transportation systems, warehouse operations, and inventory control procedures.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory software, and relevant computer applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for inventory monitoring, reporting, and data management.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to guide, motivate, and manage warehouse personnel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize operational requirements, and meet deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail in handling inventory and warehouse records.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations and logistics activities.
  • Supervise warehouse personnel and ensure that assigned tasks are completed efficiently and according to established procedures.
  • Monitor the receiving, inspection, storage, handling, issuance, and dispatch of supplies, materials, and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that stock levels are properly monitored and updated.
  • Coordinate with procurement, transport, and other departments to ensure timely delivery and availability of required supplies.
  • Implement proper warehouse organization, storage systems, and inventory control procedures.
  • Monitor stock movement, conduct regular inventory counts, and investigate discrepancies.
  • Ensure that warehouse facilities, equipment, and storage areas are maintained in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
  • Assist in preparing warehouse reports, inventory summaries, stock movement records, and other operational documentation.
  • Monitor the performance of warehouse and logistics activities and recommend improvements to operational efficiency.
  • Help implement policies and procedures for proper handling, storage, security, and distribution of supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, occupational health and safety requirements, and applicable warehouse standards.
  • Coordinate transportation and distribution activities to ensure the timely movement of supplies and materials.
  • Perform other related supply chain, logistics, and warehouse management duties as assigned.
