FOAM THERMOFORMING MACHINE OPERATOR

Qualifications:

• At least a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience; 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing is preferred.
• Previous experience operating thermoforming machines or similar plastic manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes, foam production, and thermoforming equipment.
• Ability to operate, monitor, adjust, and perform basic maintenance of thermoforming machines.
• Understanding of production procedures and basic machine troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of quality-control procedures and ability to conduct product inspections.
• Good attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies in finished products.
• Basic computer skills for machine operation, production monitoring, and data entry.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, production specifications, safety procedures, and supervisor directives.
• Physically fit and capable of working in a manufacturing and machine-production environment.
• Reliable, hardworking, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a production team.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Operate foam thermoforming machines according to established production procedures and operating instructions.
• Set up and adjust thermoforming machines based on product specifications and production requirements.
• Monitor machine operation, temperature, pressure, forming cycles, and other operating parameters.
• Load and handle raw materials used in foam tray and plastic product manufacturing.
• Ensure materials are properly positioned and fed into the thermoforming equipment.
• Inspect finished foam trays for proper shape, dimensions, thickness, appearance, and overall quality.
• Conduct routine quality checks throughout the production process.
• Identify defects, irregularities, or production problems and take appropriate corrective action.
• Make necessary machine adjustments to maintain consistent production quality.
• Monitor machine performance and report mechanical or operational issues to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
• Perform basic machine cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, and preventive maintenance as required.
• Assist maintenance personnel during machine troubleshooting, repair, and servicing activities.
• Follow production schedules and meet required output and quality standards.
• Record production quantities, machine readings, inspection results, and other required data accurately.
• Use basic computer systems for machine operation, data entry, production records, and reporting.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe machine operating area.
• Follow company procedures for proper handling, storage, and disposal of production materials and waste.
• Comply with workplace safety rules, machine safety procedures, and required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Minimize material waste by following proper machine settings, production procedures, and quality-control practices.
• Coordinate with production workers, quality-control personnel, maintenance staff, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform other machine operation and production-related duties as assigned by management.
