Fabricator/Welder

Qualifications:

• Capable of Welding MMAW / Stick / Sub-arc / on Carbon Steel & Stainless Steel, Competent in Bevel Grinding.
• Capable of performing Electric Arc Gouging
• Capable of Gas plate cutting/ Thermal cutting
• Experience in Heavy Industries is an advantage.
• Ability to Read and interpret Technical Drawings and Diagrams.
• Knowledge of Occupational, Health and Welfare Act and application to the workplace. Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Plate rolling, Plate pressing, CNC plasma cutting machines, NC Horizontal boring machines.
• Dishing Press & flanging machines for tank ends and heads.
• Strong experience and skill in any of these fabrication disciplines &/or machine operation highly regarded.
• Cross-over experience in multiple disciplines will be prioritized.

Responsibilities:

• To work in a Heavy Engineering Workshop
• Complete all welding works accurately and efficiently, in accordance with customer specifications and in compliance with Company policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Weld Carbon and Stainless Steel using MMAW, Sub-Arc.
• Perform Electric Arc Gouging, Beveling and Thermal Cutting.
• Operate Heavy Fabrication Equipment such as Plate Roller, Plate Press, Disher Press, Horizontal Boring Machine, etc.
• Complete metal, boilermaker and fabrication works accurately and efficiently, in accordance with customer specifications and in compliance with Company policies, procedures and guidelines.
