Aureol Global Connections is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor (Piping) to oversee piping fabrication and assembly operations in a busy workshop environment in Ireland. The successful candidate will lead a team of pipefitters and fabricators, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while meeting production schedules and client requirements.

Workshop Supervisor (Piping)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing or supervising a piping fabrication workshop.
• Qualified Pipefitter with proven experience in carbon steel and stainless-steel piping installation and fabrication.
• A trade qualification in pipefitting, fabrication, or a related trade is desirable but not essential.
• Previous workshop supervisory experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of piping fabrication processes, workshop machinery, fabrication equipment, and assembly techniques.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong leadership, team management, delegation, and motivational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively while effectively supervising workshop personnel.
• Strong problem-solving, planning, organizational, and communication skills.
• Able to take ownership of tasks, materials, equipment, and crew from project start through completion.
• Hardworking and capable of working under pressure to achieve production and delivery targets.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the daily operations of the piping fabrication workshop, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
• Plan, organize, and allocate work assignments to pipefitters, fabricators, welders, and workshop personnel.
• Lead, motivate, mentor, and monitor craftworkers to achieve production targets and maintain high performance.
• Coordinate fabrication, assembly, and installation preparation for carbon steel and stainless-steel piping systems.
• Review fabrication drawings, isometric drawings, piping layouts, and production schedules to ensure work is completed according to specifications.
• Monitor fabrication quality and ensure compliance with engineering drawings, client requirements, and applicable industry standards.
• Inspect completed work and coordinate quality checks before delivery to site or clients.
• Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and safe operation of workshop machinery, fabrication equipment, and tools.
• Manage workshop materials, equipment, and resources to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
• Maintain accurate production records, inventory reports, and workshop documentation.
• Promote and enforce compliance with Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), and quality management procedures.
• Identify production issues and implement effective solutions to maintain project schedules and delivery targets.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and site personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
• Perform other supervisory and workshop management duties assigned by management.
