Aureol Global Connections is seeking an experienced and organized Workshop Controller to coordinate and manage daily workshop operations for HGV/LGV vehicles in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will help ensure efficient workflow, proper job scheduling, timely vehicle repairs, and effective coordination between technicians, service teams, and management. Applicants with hands-on Renault experience, particularly from a Renault dealership environment, are highly preferred.
WORKSHOP CONTROLLER
Qualifications:
- Maximum age 54 years old.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Proven experience coordinating and controlling daily workshop operations.
- Experience working with HGV/LGV vehicles.
- Hands-on experience with Renault vehicles is required/preferred.
- Experience gained within a Renault dealership environment is highly advantageous.
- Strong automotive technical knowledge and understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple workshop activities and priorities.
- Good leadership and teamwork skills.
- Able to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
- Safety-conscious and committed to maintaining high workshop standards.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and control the daily operations of the vehicle workshop.
- Manage workflow and ensure repair and maintenance jobs are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Coordinate the servicing and repair of HGV and LGV vehicles.
- Allocate jobs to technicians based on skills, workload, and vehicle requirements.
- Monitor progress of ongoing repair and maintenance work.
- Ensure technicians have the required parts, tools, equipment, and technical information to complete assigned jobs.
- Review vehicle defects and repair requirements and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
- Communicate with technicians, service personnel, customers, suppliers, and management as required.
- Monitor workshop productivity, quality, and turnaround times.
- Help prioritize urgent repairs and breakdowns to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Ensure completed work meets required technical, safety, and quality standards.
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving technical or operational issues when necessary.
- Maintain accurate workshop records, job cards, service documentation, and repair information.
- Ensure workshop procedures comply with company policies and health and safety requirements.
- Support continuous improvement of workshop processes and efficiency.
- Perform other workshop coordination and automotive duties as assigned.
