We are seeking highly skilled Truck / Heavy Equipment Technicians / Welders to join a reputable employer in Belgium. The successful candidates will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, repair, and welding of trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

TRUCK/HEAVY EQUIPMEN TECHNICIAN/WELDER

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in truck, trailer, or heavy equipment assembly, maintenance, and repair
  • Proven experience in MIG/MAG welding for the construction and assembly of heavy trucks and trailers
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions
  • Knowledge of truck electrical systems, wiring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with hydraulic systems, including installation, hose fabrication, testing, and leak detection
  • Ability to assist in spray painting preparation, including degreasing, sanding, and filling components when required
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality and workplace safety
  • Technical diploma or certification in Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related field
  • Good English communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, maintain, and repair trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment according to technical specifications
  • Perform MIG/MAG welding for the fabrication and assembly of heavy vehicles and related components
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly and repairs
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, including wiring, controls, hoses, and fittings
  • Conduct functional testing and inspections to ensure equipment meets quality and safety standards
  • Assist in surface preparation for painting, including cleaning, sanding, degreasing, and filling components as required
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition
  • Follow company procedures and comply with all workplace health and safety regulations
