TRUCK DRIVER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a Truck Driver.
- Candidates must be at least a High School graduate.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Valid professional driver’s license appropriate for truck operation.
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations, defensive driving techniques, and cargo handling procedures.
- Ability to conduct routine vehicle inspections and identify basic mechanical issues.
- Experience handling transportation documents, delivery records, and shipment paperwork.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physically fit and capable of loading and unloading cargo when required.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company trucks to transport goods and materials according to assigned routes, schedules, and delivery requirements.
- Follow all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company transportation policies at all times.
- Load, unload, inspect, and properly secure cargo to prevent damage or loss during transportation.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is safe and roadworthy.
- Monitor vehicle performance and promptly report mechanical defects, accidents, or maintenance requirements.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance such as checking engine oil, coolant, tires, brakes, lights, and fluid levels.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, delivery logs, bills of lading, and other transportation documents.
- Coordinate with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, customers, and supervisors regarding delivery schedules and operational updates.
- Resolve delivery issues professionally and provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with cargo handling, loading capacity, and transportation safety procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of the assigned vehicle.
- Perform other transportation and logistics duties assigned by management.
