TRUCK DRIVER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a Truck Driver.
• Candidates must be at least a High School graduate.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Valid professional driver’s license appropriate for truck operation.
• Good knowledge of road safety regulations, defensive driving techniques, and cargo handling procedures.
• Ability to conduct routine vehicle inspections and identify basic mechanical issues.
• Experience handling transportation documents, delivery records, and shipment paperwork.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and capable of loading and unloading cargo when required.
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate company trucks to transport goods and materials according to assigned routes, schedules, and delivery requirements.
• Follow all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company transportation policies at all times.
• Load, unload, inspect, and properly secure cargo to prevent damage or loss during transportation.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is safe and roadworthy.
• Monitor vehicle performance and promptly report mechanical defects, accidents, or maintenance requirements.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance such as checking engine oil, coolant, tires, brakes, lights, and fluid levels.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, delivery logs, bills of lading, and other transportation documents.
• Coordinate with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, customers, and supervisors regarding delivery schedules and operational updates.
• Resolve delivery issues professionally and provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with cargo handling, loading capacity, and transportation safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of the assigned vehicle.
• Perform other transportation and logistics duties assigned by management.
