AUTO ELECTRICIAN (Auto A/C Electrician)

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Auto Electrician with expertise in diagnosing all types of vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive electrical, electronic, and air-conditioning systems.
  • Experience with vehicle diagnostics, electronic programming, and fault finding.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic scanners, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and automotive testing equipment.
  • Ability to program and configure ECUs, BCMs, and other electronic control systems.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced automotive workshop.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic faults in all types of passenger and commercial vehicles.
  • Perform troubleshooting of starting, charging, ignition, lighting, wiring, and electronic control systems.
  • Diagnose, service, and repair automotive air-conditioning (A/C) systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, and refrigerant lines.
  • Use diagnostic scanners and specialized testing equipment to identify faults in engine management, ABS, SRS, transmission, and body control systems.
  • Program and configure electronic control modules (ECUs), body control modules (BCMs), immobilizers, key coding systems, and other vehicle electronic components.
  • Inspect, repair, and replace wiring harnesses, sensors, relays, switches, alternators, starters, batteries, and electrical accessories.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and A/C systems to ensure reliable vehicle performance.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and manufacturer service manuals.
  • Test repaired systems to verify proper operation and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain accurate service reports, diagnostic records, and repair documentation.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and A/C service machines.
  • Follow company safety procedures, environmental regulations, and workshop quality standards.
  • Perform other electrical and automotive repair duties assigned by management.
