Supervisor – Airport Systems – AGL

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of working experience in airport systems, airfield ground lighting, electrical maintenance, or related fields.
• Experience managing helpers and AGL Technicians.
• Knowledge of Airfield Light Control and Monitoring Systems (ALCMS) for airport runways and taxiways.
• Experience in laying and replacing primary and secondary cables.
• Experience in repairing Constant Current Regulators (CCR).
• Ability to troubleshoot earth faults and open-circuit faults.
• Experience in field inspections and serviceability checks.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance for airfield lighting systems.
• Ability to install and maintain CCRs and various Airfield Lighting (AFL) fixtures including TCL, TDZ, PAPI, and Blue Edge Lights.
• Familiarity with airport runway safety regulations and hazardous zones.
• Ability to use measurement tools such as multimeters and insulation testers.
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and circuit drawings.
• Male applicants preferred.
• No minimum educational attainment required.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of helpers and AGL Technicians.
• Report daily maintenance and operational activities to the assigned Engineer.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Airfield Ground Lighting systems.
• Perform installation, replacement, and maintenance of runway and taxiway lighting infrastructure.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on CCRs and airfield lighting fixtures.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, earth faults, and open-circuit faults.
• Carry out field inspections and serviceability checks of airport lighting systems.
• Ensure compliance with airport safety procedures and runway operational requirements.
• Maintain tools, instruments, testing devices, and maintenance equipment.
• Assemble, test, evaluate, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic systems.
• Fabricate and construct parts using hand tools and technical specifications.
• Interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation to perform maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and according to airport operational standards.
