Structural Fitter

Qualifications:

• Qualified and experienced in the fabrication, fit-up, and installation of carbon steel structural components, including beams, columns, braces, and plates.
• Ability to work in accordance with approved engineering drawings and project specifications.
• Skilled in measuring, marking, aligning, and assembling structural steel components.
• Strong understanding of structural fabrication techniques and installation procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team in a construction or industrial environment.
• Committed to maintaining a safe and productive workplace.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, fit, and install carbon steel structural components, including beams, columns, braces, and plates.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and project specifications.
• Measure, mark, cut, align, and assemble structural steel components for fabrication and installation.
• Perform fit-up activities to ensure proper alignment and dimensional accuracy before welding.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
• Coordinate with welders, supervisors, and other trades to ensure timely completion of work.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while complying with workplace health and safety regulations.
