Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd is seeking a qualified STL/STR Inspector to inspect structural steel fabrication and erection activities for construction projects in Mozambique. The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying structural steel works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred.
• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Structural Steel Inspector, STL/STR Inspector, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication, erection processes, and inspection procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with welding inspection requirements and quality documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and reporting ability.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a construction or industrial project environment.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect structural steel fabrication and erection activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Check alignment, dimensions, levelness, and overall quality of steel structures during fabrication and installation.
• Verify structural components, connections, and assemblies meet project requirements.
• Coordinate welding inspections and review welding documentation, including inspection reports and quality records.
• Monitor fabrication and erection activities to identify defects, deviations, or non-conformities.
• Review technical drawings, fabrication drawings, and structural specifications prior to inspection activities.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, welders, and quality control personnel regarding inspection requirements and corrective actions.
• Prepare inspection reports, checklists, and quality documentation.
• Support client inspections, audits, and project handover activities.
• Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.
