RIGGER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a Rigger in industrial construction or plant projects.
- Experience working in LNG plants, Oil & Gas plants, power plants, gas processing plants, petrochemical plants, and other industrial plant projects.
- Strong knowledge of rigging operations, lifting equipment, and load handling procedures.
- Experience in lifting, moving, positioning, and securing heavy equipment, machinery, structural steel, and construction materials.
- Ability to inspect and use rigging equipment such as wire ropes, chains, slings, shackles, hooks, turnbuckles, and lifting accessories.
- Knowledge of load calculations, lifting plans, hand signals, and safe lifting practices.
- Familiarity with crane operations and coordination with crane operators during lifting activities.
- Ability to read lifting drawings, rigging plans, and technical instructions.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards, lifting regulations, and permit-to-work systems.
- Physically fit and capable of working in demanding construction environments.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, inspect, and maintain rigging equipment before and after use.
- Attach loads to cranes and lifting devices using appropriate rigging methods and equipment.
- Direct crane operators using standard hand signals and communication procedures.
- Assist in lifting, moving, positioning, and securing heavy equipment and materials.
- Ensure all lifting activities are conducted safely and according to approved lifting plans.
- Inspect loads, lifting gear, and lifting areas for safety and compliance requirements.
- Calculate load weights and determine appropriate rigging equipment for lifting operations.
- Coordinate with supervisors, crane operators, and construction teams during lifting activities.
- Follow company safety procedures, lifting standards, and site regulations.
- Report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or lifting hazards immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of rigging equipment inspections and lifting activities when required.
