PLUMBER

Qualifications:

• With a valid TESDA Certificate (NC II).
• Knowledge and experience in general carpentry and finishing carpentry.
• Knowledgeable in generator operation and basic repair/troubleshooting, particularly in case of breakdown.
• Knowledge of plumbing installation, repair, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Able to measure, cut, join, install, and repair pipes and plumbing components.
• Familiarity with common plumbing tools, equipment, fittings, and materials.
• Able to read and follow basic plumbing drawings, measurements, specifications, and work instructions.
• Physically fit and capable of performing plumbing and construction-related tasks.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Responsible, hardworking, safety-conscious, and able to follow instructions from supervisors.
• Able to work effectively with other construction and project-site personnel.
• Willing to work in a construction or industrial project environment in Mozambique.

Responsibilities:

• Install, assemble, maintain, and repair plumbing and piping systems according to project plans and specifications.
• Install water supply, drainage, wastewater, and other plumbing systems as assigned.
• Measure, cut, thread, bend, join, and fit pipes and related plumbing components.
• Install pipes, valves, fittings, fixtures, drains, pumps, and other plumbing equipment.
• Read and follow plumbing drawings, layouts, measurements, specifications, and work instructions.
• Inspect pipes, joints, fittings, and connections for proper alignment, installation, and leaks.
• Conduct pressure testing and basic troubleshooting of plumbing systems as required.
• Identify and repair leaks, blockages, damaged pipes, faulty fittings, and other plumbing problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on plumbing installations.
• Coordinate with other construction workers, engineers, supervisors, and technical personnel during installation and repair activities.
• Prepare plumbing materials, tools, and work areas before starting assigned tasks.
• Use plumbing hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and other equipment safely and properly.
• Perform basic general carpentry and finishing carpentry work when assigned.
• Assist with measuring, cutting, assembling, installing, and finishing wooden components.
• Operate generators when required to support construction or site activities.
• Perform basic generator checks and troubleshooting in case of operational problems or breakdown.
• Assist with basic generator repair and maintenance within the scope of assigned duties.
• Follow proper procedures for starting, operating, shutting down, and maintaining generators.
• Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Follow project-site health and safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform other plumbing, carpentry, generator-support, and related duties assigned by management.
