ICNC People is seeking a qualified and experienced Cost Engineer specializing in yacht and boat electrical systems to prepare cost estimates and calculations for electrical installations in shipbuilding projects. The ideal candidate should have an electrical engineering background, substantial shipbuilding experience, strong technical drawing interpretation skills, and excellent English communication skills.
COST ENGINEER (Yacht / Boat Electrical Systems)
Qualifications:
- Male applicants are specified for this vacancy.
- Must be an Electrical Engineer.
- Must have several years of experience in shipbuilding.
- Must have extensive experience in cost estimating and calculations for electrical installations.
- Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical installation plans.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Experience with yacht or boat electrical systems is important for this specialized role.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and calculations for electrical installations on yachts and boats.
- Analyze electrical system designs, technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Estimate material quantities, labor requirements, equipment costs, and other expenses related to electrical installation work.
- Review electrical plans and technical documentation to determine project scope and cost implications.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to obtain accurate pricing and cost information.
- Evaluate supplier quotations and compare costs of electrical components, materials, and installation services.
- Monitor estimated costs against project requirements and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure cost calculations are accurate, complete, and aligned with technical specifications.
- Prepare cost reports and supporting documentation for project planning and budgeting.
- Communicate technical and cost-related information clearly in English.
