Qualifications:

• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience as a Steward or in a similar hospitality role.
• No minimum educational attainment is required.
• Female applicants are preferred for this role.
• Knowledge of proper dishwashing, sanitation, and food safety procedures.
• Ability to operate dishwashing equipment and safely handle cleaning materials.
• Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods and lifting kitchen equipment when necessary.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and hygiene.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hotel or restaurant environment.
• Good teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
• Willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Wash, sanitize, dry, and properly store dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans, trays, and kitchen utensils.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, food preparation areas, and storage rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, floors, walls, and other food service facilities in accordance with hygiene standards.
• Assist wait staff by clearing and resetting dining tables promptly and efficiently.
• Restock service stations with condiments, napkins, utensils, trays, and other dining essentials.
• Safely collect, segregate, and dispose of garbage, food waste, and recyclable materials from kitchen and dining areas.
• Operate dishwashing machines and ensure proper handling of cleaning chemicals and sanitizing agents.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic support tasks, including transporting supplies and organizing kitchen equipment.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and occupational health and safety regulations at all times.
• Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues, or sanitation concerns to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment while using personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
• Perform other stewarding and housekeeping duties assigned by supervisors or management.
