Static/Rotating Equipments Mechanical QC Inspector

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in mechanical quality control and inspection.
• Experience in inspection of static and rotating equipment in industrial, oil & gas, petrochemical, or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical installation standards, codes, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Ability to inspect materials, equipment, and construction activities on-site.
• Familiarity with pumps, compressors, turbines, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, tanks, piping systems, and related equipment.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, ducts, vents, gas piping, and mechanical utility systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, mechanical layouts, specifications, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), and piping isometrics.
• Experience preparing inspection reports, quality records, and technical documentation.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect materials, equipment, and mechanical construction activities at project sites.
• Verify that installation of static and rotating equipment complies with approved drawings, vendor requirements, project specifications, and applicable codes.
• Conduct inspections of mechanical systems, ducts, vents, heating and air-conditioning equipment, gas piping, and fuel-fired equipment.
• Review engineering documents, technical specifications, and drawings for compliance.
• Verify alignment, installation, assembly, and operational readiness of mechanical equipment.
• Monitor contractor and vendor compliance with quality requirements.
• Prepare inspection reports, punch lists, and quality documentation.
• Maintain records of inspections, testing, and corrective actions.
• Review and interpret piping isometrics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, vendors, and project teams regarding quality-related concerns.
• Ensure compliance with project quality standards, safety requirements, and client specifications.
• Support audits, inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
