General Machinery Pte Ltd (GM Motors) is seeking experienced Stainless Steel Fabricators to join its team in Fiji. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and finishing stainless steel products and equipment for commercial catering, hospitality, and food-service applications while maintaining high standards of quality, precision, and safety.

Stainless Steel Fabricator

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in stainless steel fabrication is required.
  • Proven experience fabricating commercial catering, hospitality, or food-service equipment.
  • Experienced in operating CNC guillotines, press brakes, and laser cutting machines.
  • Highly proficient in TIG, MIG, and modern laser welding technologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent fabrication and finishing skills.
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication plans, and technical specifications.
  • Measure, cut, bend, form, and assemble stainless steel components according to project requirements.
  • Fabricate commercial catering, hospitality, and food-service equipment with precision and high-quality workmanship.
  • Operate CNC guillotines, press brakes, laser cutters, and other sheet metal fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform TIG, MIG, and laser welding on stainless steel materials to produce strong, clean, and accurate welds.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and dimensional specifications.
  • Perform finishing tasks such as grinding, polishing, deburring, and surface preparation.
  • Maintain fabrication tools, machinery, and equipment in good working condition.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures and ensure a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to complete projects on schedule.
