Job Vacancy: SENIOR RIG MECHANIC

P.T Dunia is seeking an experienced Senior Rig Mechanic to support geothermal drilling operations in Taiwan. The successful candidate will lead the mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of drilling and production equipment, ensuring maximum equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with industry safety and quality standards.

SENIOR RIG MECHANIC

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a Rig Mechanic or Senior Rig Mechanic in drilling or geothermal operations is required.
  • Candidates must possess a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in Others or a related field.
  • Drillmec / HH Certification is required.
  • Experience with Drillmec drilling rigs and geothermal operations is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance, hydraulic systems, diesel engines, mud pumps, and drilling equipment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work safely in demanding drilling environments and under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of drilling and production equipment used in geothermal operations.
  • Maintain and repair heavy-duty diesel engines, high-pressure mud pumps, hydraulic systems, compressors, hoisting equipment, and other rig machinery.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and minimize operational downtime.
  • Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective repair solutions to maintain safe and efficient drilling operations.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, company procedures, and geothermal industry standards.
  • Monitor spare parts inventory, track equipment service life, and assist in preparing procurement requests for replacement parts and maintenance materials.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history, and inspection reports.
  • Coordinate with rig supervisors, drilling crews, and other maintenance personnel to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
  • Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
