P.T Dunia is seeking an experienced Senior Rig Electrician to support geothermal drilling operations in Taiwan. The successful candidate will lead the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of electrical systems on drilling rigs while ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all electrical equipment in compliance with geothermal industry standards.

SENIOR RIG ELECTRICIAN

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a Rig Electrician or Senior Rig Electrician in drilling or geothermal operations is required.
  Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s / College Degree in Others or a related field.
• Drillmec / HH Certification is required.
• Experience with Drillmec drilling rigs and geothermal operations is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems, AC/DC generators, PLCs, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, SCR equipment, and drilling rig electrical controls.
• Excellent troubleshooting, leadership, and technical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work safely in demanding drilling environments while supervising electrical maintenance activities.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and perform the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical systems on geothermal drilling rigs.
• Manage and mentor junior electricians, assign daily work activities, and conduct pre-tour meetings and safety briefings.
• Diagnose and repair faults in high-voltage power generation systems, automated electrical control panels, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Supervise the safe rig up (installation) and rig down (dismantling) of electrical systems during rig mobilization and wellsite moves.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on AC/DC generators, switchgear, transformers, motor control centers (MCCs), SCR equipment, and related electrical systems.
• Inspect, test, and maintain electrical equipment to ensure compliance with operational, safety, and manufacturer standards.
• Coordinate with rig management and maintenance personnel to minimize equipment downtime and maintain continuous drilling operations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and electrical system documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, electrical safety regulations, and geothermal industry best practices.
