Job Vacancy: Drilling Engineer

Job Location: Taiwan
P.T Dunia is seeking an experienced Drilling Engineer to support geothermal drilling operations in Taiwan. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and supervising drilling programs to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective well construction while maintaining compliance with industry standards, project requirements, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a Drilling Engineer in geothermal, oil and gas, or deep drilling operations is required.
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s / College Degree in Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Must hold a valid IWCF Level 4 or IADC Supervisor Well Control Certificate.
- Experience with Drillmec drilling rigs is mandatory.
- Experience working with geologists on drilling projects is required.
- Strong knowledge of drilling engineering, well planning, directional drilling, wellhead equipment, and drilling operations.
- Familiarity with drilling software, project budgeting, risk management, and HSE regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed drilling programs, including well design, drilling procedures, and operational schedules.
- Select appropriate wellhead equipment and design directional or horizontal well paths based on project and geological requirements.
- Collaborate with geologists and other engineering disciplines to optimize well placement, drilling performance, and reservoir development.
- Monitor daily drilling operations and provide technical guidance to improve safety, efficiency, and overall drilling performance.
- Manage drilling project budgets, monitor operational costs, and recommend cost-effective solutions without compromising safety or quality.
- Ensure all drilling activities comply with health, safety, environmental (HSE), and regulatory requirements, as well as company policies.
- Analyze drilling data, prepare technical reports, and recommend corrective actions to address operational challenges.
- Coordinate with rig management, contractors, and service providers to ensure drilling activities are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Support well control planning and risk assessments to maintain safe drilling operations.
