Senior Maintenance Technician
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, plant maintenance, or a related field.
- Must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in a relevant technical or engineering field.
- Strong hands-on experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of production machinery and industrial equipment.
- Knowledge and practical experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-related systems.
- Experience repairing and replacing motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, sensors, valves, cylinders, conveyors, and similar components.
- Experience maintaining compressors, chillers, pumps, generators, air systems, electrical panels, and other plant utilities.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams is an advantage.
- Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance programs and CMMS systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to urgent equipment breakdowns and production emergencies.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to coordinate effectively with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other departments.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on maintenance work in a manufacturing environment.
- Willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends, holidays, or on-call schedules when required.
- Reliable, responsible, safety-conscious, and committed to equipment reliability.

Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production machinery, plant equipment, and utility systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-related equipment problems.
- Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and emergencies to minimize production downtime.
- Repair, replace, and install machine components including motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, sensors, valves, cylinders, conveyors, and related parts.
- Conduct routine inspections of production machinery, utilities, and facility equipment to identify potential failures and maintenance requirements.
- Perform machine setup, alignment, lubrication, calibration, adjustment, and operational testing following maintenance or repair activities.
- Inspect and maintain motors, gearboxes, bearings, drives, sensors, actuators, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and control components.
- Maintain and troubleshoot compressors, chillers, air lines, electrical panels, pumps, generators, and other utility systems.
- Perform electrical and control system checks within the scope of technical qualifications and company procedures.
- Assist in diagnosing PLC-related faults and coordinate with engineering or specialized technicians when advanced programming or control-system support is required.
- Conduct equipment testing after repairs to verify proper operation, safety, and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, spare parts usage, and equipment history.
- Update maintenance logs or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) records as required.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Engineering departments during machine repairs, preventive maintenance, and scheduled shutdowns.
- Plan and perform maintenance activities with minimal disruption to production operations.
- Monitor equipment condition and identify recurring failures or reliability issues.
- Recommend appropriate corrective actions and spare parts requirements to supervisors.
- Assist in maintaining adequate stocks of critical maintenance spare parts and consumables.
- Participate in equipment improvement projects, modification activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Recommend measures to improve machine efficiency, reliability, availability, and overall equipment performance.
- Maintain proper housekeeping of the maintenance workshop, tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, electrical and mechanical safety requirements, and company regulations when performing maintenance work.
- Use maintenance tools, testing instruments, and equipment safely and correctly.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, occupational health and safety requirements, and applicable quality standards.
- Train or provide technical guidance to junior maintenance technicians when required.
- Perform other maintenance and technical duties as assigned.
