NMDC Group is seeking experienced Senior Electronics Technicians to handle the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of marine electronics, automation, and control systems on offshore vessels in the United Arab Emirates. The successful candidates will ensure the reliability and performance of vessel electronic systems through advanced diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and technical support.
SENIOR ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Electronics Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in marine electronics, offshore systems, or industrial automation.
- Extensive experience with:
- Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
- Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs)
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Instrumentation systems
- Marine communication and navigation systems
- Vessel automation systems
- Networking and system diagnostics
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of offshore vessel operations and marine electrical/electronic systems.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in offshore environments.
- Physically fit and safety-conscious.
- Strong commitment to quality, reliability, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair marine electronic systems, automation systems, and control equipment.
- Diagnose faults and perform corrective maintenance on vessel electronic and instrumentation systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial control systems.
- Perform testing, calibration, and repair of electronic instruments and automation equipment.
- Support maintenance of marine communication and navigation systems.
- Conduct system diagnostics and identify technical issues affecting vessel operations.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliable operation of electronic systems.
- Assist in vessel automation system upgrades, modifications, and repairs.
- Maintain technical documentation, service reports, and maintenance records.
- Follow offshore safety procedures, company standards, and industry regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians when required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the employer.
