Thomas Mining SARL is seeking a disciplined and vigilant Security Guard to safeguard personnel, property, equipment, and company assets at its mining operations in Congo. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting security patrols, monitoring access points, and ensuring a safe and secure working environment.
SECURITY GUARD
Qualifications:
- Male, 25–35 years old.
- Minimum height of 170 cm (5’7″) with a good physical build.
- At least 2 years of work experience as a Security Guard or in a related security role.
- Experience in CCTV monitoring and K9 handling is an advantage.
- Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit and capable of performing extended patrols and standing for long periods.
- Knowledge of security procedures, access control, and emergency response practices.
- Honest, disciplined, dependable, and able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays if required.
- Willing to work in Congo and comply with company security, safety, and operational policies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including buildings, warehouses, offices, and operational areas, to detect security risks or unauthorized activities.
- Inspect doors, windows, gates, fences, and other access points to ensure they are properly secured.
- Monitor entrances and exits, verify the identity of visitors, employees, contractors, and vehicles before granting access.
- Enforce company security policies, procedures, and access control measures.
- Monitor CCTV systems and surveillance equipment to identify suspicious activities or security incidents.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, security breaches, accidents, or other incidents.
- Prepare detailed incident reports, daily security logs, and shift reports.
- Assist in emergency response procedures, including evacuation, fire incidents, and first-response activities when necessary.
- Coordinate with supervisors, law enforcement, and emergency responders when required.
- Perform vehicle and baggage inspections in accordance with company security procedures.
- If assigned, assist in the handling and supervision of security dogs (K9 units) during patrols and inspections.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous assistance to employees and visitors.
- Perform other security-related duties assigned by management.
