SAFETY SUPERVISOR

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional safety certification is mandatory.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Safety Supervisor in construction projects.
• Proven experience on large-scale retail, commercial, healthcare, residential, and mixed-use developments.
• Strong background in construction site safety management, hazard identification, risk assessment, and HSE compliance.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or OSHA 30-Hour Certification is required.
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification; IOSH, Scaffold Inspector, Working at Height, or ISO 45001 certifications are an advantage.
• Thorough knowledge of HSE regulations, Saudi Civil Defense requirements, Ministry of Labor safety standards, permit-to-work systems, PPE requirements, and emergency response procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for safety documentation and reporting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and incident investigation skills with the ability to enforce safety standards professionally and effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and non-compliance with HSE regulations on retail, commercial, healthcare, residential, and mixed-use construction projects.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with company HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices across all construction activities.
• Ensure all workers, subcontractors, and site personnel properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow established safety protocols.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and safety induction programs for workers, subcontractors, and new site personnel.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Inspect high-risk activities including scaffolding, excavation, formwork, lifting operations, electrical works, and other hazardous construction activities to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Implement and monitor permit-to-work systems, risk assessments, method statements, emergency response procedures, and fire safety measures.
• Maintain HSE documentation, including inspection reports, incident records, toolbox talk logs, training records, and safety audit reports.
• Coordinate with engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to resolve safety issues, implement corrective actions, and promote a strong safety culture.
• Monitor housekeeping, waste management, environmental compliance, and report daily HSE activities while ensuring compliance with Saudi Arabian Civil Defense regulations, Ministry of Labor requirements, and company HSE standards.
