Job Location: Mozambique
Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Safety Supervisor to oversee health, safety, and environmental (HSE) activities for construction projects in Mozambique. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising Safety Officers, ensuring compliance with company HSE policies and project safety requirements, and promoting a safe working environment across all project operations.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience as a Safety Supervisor or in a similar HSE supervisory role within construction, industrial, or engineering projects.
- Bachelor’s/College Degree in Engineering (Others) or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, hazard identification, risk assessment, and Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
- Experience supervising safety personnel and implementing HSE programs on construction sites.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to conduct incident investigations, safety inspections, and HSE training.
- Experience in EPC, oil and gas, petrochemical, power plant, or heavy industrial construction projects is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily HSE activities on the project site to ensure compliance with company policies, project procedures, and applicable safety regulations.
- Supervise Safety Officers and coordinate their daily assignments and site inspection activities.
- Stop unsafe work when necessary and ensure corrective actions are implemented before work resumes.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections to identify hazards, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.
- Monitor compliance with the Permit to Work (PTW) system, including hot work, confined space entry, excavation, and other high-risk activities.
- Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and HSE awareness programs for employees and subcontractors.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare reports with recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices by all personnel.
- Coordinate with project management, supervisors, and client representatives on HSE matters and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, and documentation, and perform other safety-related duties assigned by management.
