Toyoukosan Co., Ltd. is looking for qualified Specified Skilled Workers (SSW) for road works in Japan. The position is suitable for experienced construction workers with a background in road construction, excavation, concrete works, paving, drainage installation, and related civil engineering activities.
Applicants who have previously completed the Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) in Japan may be eligible, subject to the applicable SSW requirements.
ROAD WORKS
Qualifications:
- Must be an SSW (Specified Skilled Worker) applicant.
- Must have successfully completed at least 3 years under the Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) in Japan.
- Must possess a valid Japanese language proficiency certificate, such as:
- JLPT (Japanese-Language Proficiency Test), or
- JFT-Basic (Japan Foundation Test for Basic Japanese).
- Must have a valid Prometric Skills Test Certificate if the applicant’s previous TITP occupation differs from the position being applied for.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
- No specific educational attainment required by the employer.
- Preferably 40 years old or below.
- Experience in road construction, excavation, concrete works, paving, drainage installation, or related civil engineering/construction activities is preferred.
- Physically fit and capable of performing construction work.
- Able to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
- Safety-conscious, responsible, and dependable.
Responsibilities:
- Perform road construction and civil engineering work according to project specifications.
- Assist with excavation, earthworks, and site preparation.
- Perform concrete works, including preparation and placement activities.
- Assist with road paving and surface finishing.
- Install and maintain drainage systems and related infrastructure.
- Prepare and clear construction sites before and after work.
- Handle construction materials, tools, and equipment safely.
- Assist skilled workers and supervisors with road construction activities.
- Follow construction plans, work instructions, and safety procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and order at the construction site.
- Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report hazards, equipment problems, and other site concerns to supervisors.
- Perform other road construction and civil engineering duties as assigned.
