Job Location: Mozambique
Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd is seeking an experienced Rigging Foreman to supervise rigging operations for construction projects in Mozambique. The successful candidate will lead rigging crews, oversee lifting activities, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and coordinate with project teams to complete lifting and material handling operations safely and efficiently.
RIGGING FOREMAN
Qualifications:
- Male applicants are preferred.
- Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a Rigging Foreman or in a similar supervisory role.
- Proven experience supervising and managing teams of riggers on construction or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of lifting operations, rigging techniques, and construction execution.
- Thorough understanding of safety measures, lifting regulations, and industry best practices.
- Ability to read lifting plans and coordinate complex lifting activities.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead teams of riggers during lifting, hoisting, and material handling operations.
- Plan, assign, and monitor daily rigging activities to ensure work is completed safely and on schedule.
- Coordinate with crane operators, supervisors, engineers, and construction teams to execute lifting operations efficiently.
- Inspect lifting equipment, rigging gear, and accessories before use to ensure they are safe and serviceable.
- Ensure all lifting operations comply with approved lifting plans, company procedures, and applicable safety regulations.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and provide guidance on safe rigging practices.
- Monitor work quality, productivity, and crew performance on site.
- Prepare daily work reports, manpower reports, and lifting activity records.
- Identify potential hazards and implement appropriate risk control measures.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.
