Committee Australia is seeking experienced Carpenters to join its construction team in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing carpentry work, interpreting technical drawings, constructing and installing building components, and ensuring high-quality workmanship while following workplace safety standards.

CARPENTER

Qualifications:

• Candidates with a completed Skills Assessment outcome are highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Carpenter, preferably within the construction industry.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, technical drawings, and construction documents.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and carpentry techniques.
• Skilled in the safe operation of power tools and hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work safely, independently, and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on construction work.
• Good communication skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and professional standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform carpentry works in residential, commercial, and construction environments.
• Read and interpret building plans, technical drawings, and project specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install timber and other construction materials.
• Construct, repair, and install structures, frameworks, fixtures, and fittings.
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and according to quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area while following workplace health and safety procedures.
• Work independently and collaboratively with other trades and construction team members.
• Assist with general construction tasks as required.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project requirements.
