QUANTITY SURVEYOR (CIVIL & ARCHITECTURAL)
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of working experience is required.
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s / College Degree in Architecture, Urban Studies, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Relevant experience in civil and architectural construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost estimation, and contract administration.
- Experience in project cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Effective team player with strong coordination and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with QS software such as CostX, PlanSwift, or similar estimating and measurement tools.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare quantity take-offs, bills of quantities, and detailed cost estimates for civil and architectural works.
- Monitor project budgets, cost reports, expenditures, and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct cost analysis and provide recommendations to optimize project costs and resources.
- Manage subcontractor procurement processes, including tender evaluation, negotiations, and contract administration.
- Assess, verify, and process subcontractor and supplier payments.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, project specifications, and commercial requirements.
- Prepare variation orders, claims, valuations, and final accounts.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and site teams regarding commercial and contractual matters.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential cost risks or budget overruns.
- Maintain accurate records of project costs, contracts, and commercial documentation.
- Support project management teams in achieving successful project delivery within budget and schedule targets.
