PROJECT FINISHING ENGINEER
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience.
- Preferably 15–16 years of experience in civil building projects.
- Extensive experience in construction project finishing works.
- Strong knowledge of building construction processes and finishing activities.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Able to work effectively with engineers, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and other project personnel.
- Must be physically fit and capable of working in a construction site environment.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate finishing works throughout the construction project.
- Review approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements related to finishing activities.
- Coordinate finishing works with civil, architectural, MEP, and other project teams.
- Monitor the progress and quality of finishing activities on site.
- Ensure that finishing works are completed according to approved plans, specifications, and required standards.
- Inspect completed and ongoing works to identify defects, discrepancies, or workmanship issues.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and site personnel to resolve construction and finishing concerns.
- Monitor materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Assist in planning and scheduling finishing activities to meet project deadlines.
- Ensure proper sequencing of finishing works to avoid delays and conflicts with other trades.
- Prepare and maintain relevant site reports, inspection records, and project documentation.
- Support quality control and inspection procedures throughout the finishing stage.
- Identify construction issues and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
- Promote compliance with site safety procedures and project requirements.
- Perform other duties related to the successful completion of civil building projects.
