Production Operator
Qualifications:
- Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience in a multinational or local pharmaceutical manufacturing company.
- Hands-on experience operating pharmaceutical process and production equipment.
- Proficiency in automated granulation equipment such as IMA, Fiedler Aeromatic, Glatt, Bohle, or equivalent.
- Experience operating tablet compression equipment such as Kilian, Fette, Korsch, Rota, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical coating equipment such as IMA, Glatt, Manesty, or equivalent.
- Experience operating blistering and liquid packaging equipment such as IMA, Uhlmann, CAM, Marchesini, or equivalent.
- Good understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, including granulation, tablet compression, coating, and packaging.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), standard operating procedures, and pharmaceutical production documentation.
- Ability to follow batch manufacturing records, production instructions, and equipment operating procedures.
- Familiarity with equipment setup, cleaning, line clearance, and changeover procedures.
- Ability to monitor production parameters and perform in-process quality checks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and patient safety.
- Ability to identify equipment problems and report process deviations appropriately.
- Good documentation, communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
- Willingness to comply with company policies, pharmaceutical quality requirements, and Saudi Arabian workplace regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor, and control pharmaceutical production equipment according to approved operating procedures and production schedules.
- Set up, adjust, and prepare production machines before starting manufacturing operations.
- Operate automated granulation equipment, including IMA, Fiedler Aeromatic, Glatt, Bohle, or equivalent systems.
- Operate tablet compression machines, including Kilian, Fette, Korsch, Rota, or equivalent equipment.
- Operate pharmaceutical coating equipment, including IMA, Glatt, Manesty, or equivalent systems.
- Operate blister packaging machines and liquid packaging equipment, including IMA, Uhlmann, CAM, Marchesini, or equivalent systems.
- Monitor equipment performance and production parameters to ensure consistent product quality and efficient operation.
- Follow approved manufacturing instructions, batch manufacturing records, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and production specifications.
- Verify machine settings, material quantities, and equipment readiness before commencing production.
- Conduct in-process checks and record production data, machine settings, equipment readings, and process observations accurately.
- Monitor granulation, compression, coating, and packaging operations to identify deviations or abnormalities.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of production equipment in accordance with approved procedures.
- Follow equipment cleaning, line clearance, and changeover procedures to prevent product contamination and mix-ups.
- Check that production areas, tools, and equipment are clean and ready for the next manufacturing batch.
- Identify equipment malfunctions, process deviations, and product defects and report them to the supervisor promptly.
- Assist with troubleshooting production equipment issues within the operator’s authorized responsibilities.
- Ensure proper handling, identification, and storage of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods.
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and applicable pharmaceutical quality requirements.
- Follow hygiene, sanitation, occupational health, and workplace safety procedures.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with pharmaceutical manufacturing safety requirements.
- Coordinate with production supervisors, quality assurance personnel, quality control staff, and maintenance technicians.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and ensure all required records are completed in a timely manner.
- Support production targets while maintaining product quality, equipment efficiency, and compliance with company standards.
- Perform other pharmaceutical manufacturing and production duties assigned by management.
