Aureol Global Connections is seeking an experienced Pipefitter Supervisor (HVAC / Pipework) to lead mechanical piping installation projects in Ireland. The successful candidate will supervise pipefitters and mechanical crews involved in HVAC, process, and stainless-steel piping installations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and construction schedules.
Pipefitter Supervisor (HVAC/Pipework)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in HVAC and industrial pipework installation.
- Qualified Pipefitter with extensive experience in HVAC, process piping, carbon steel, and stainless-steel piping systems.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems, piping installation methods, and fabrication techniques.
- Proven ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and mechanical engineering drawings.
- Experience supervising piping projects in industrial, commercial, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or construction environments is an advantage.
- Excellent leadership, planning, delegation, and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of quality control procedures, commissioning, and project handover requirements.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and effectively under pressure while meeting project deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of pipefitters, welders, fabricators, and subcontractors working on HVAC and pipework installations.
- Plan and allocate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment to achieve project milestones and production targets.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, mechanical layouts, fabrication drawings, and project specifications.
- Oversee the installation of HVAC piping, chilled water, heating, process piping, and stainless-steel pipework systems.
- Verify pipe alignment, fit-up, supports, valves, fittings, and equipment installation to ensure compliance with engineering requirements.
- Coordinate closely with mechanical engineers, project managers, QA/QC inspectors, and other construction disciplines.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure all installations meet project quality standards and client specifications.
- Ensure compliance with approved work procedures, Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations, and site safety requirements.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and daily progress meetings with site personnel.
- Monitor project progress, resolve technical issues, and report production status to management.
- Coordinate testing, flushing, pressure testing, commissioning, and system handover activities.
- Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, manpower records, and material usage documentation.
- Mentor and train junior pipefitters to improve productivity and workmanship.
