PIPE FITTER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years working experience; typically 3–5 years in industrial piping, construction, maintenance, or oilfield operations
• Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in Engineering (Petroleum, Oil, Gas) or related field
• Male applicants preferred
• Experience with carbon steel pipes, flanges, and valves is a must
• Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings
• Physical strength for lifting heavy materials, working in confined spaces, and at heights
• Knowledge of different pipe materials (steel, stainless steel, PVC) and pressure ratings for hazardous materials

Responsibilities:

• Layout and Fabrication: Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and engineering specifications.
• Pipe Assembly: Measure, cut, thread, bend, and assemble steel, stainless steel, and alloy pipes.
• Maintenance & Repair: Inspect pipes for leaks, corrosion, or damage and perform repairs or replacements.
• Welding & Joining: Join pipes using specialized techniques, including butt-welding, socket welding, or mechanical bolting/flanging.
• Testing & Safety: Conduct hydrostatic or pneumatic testing to verify pipe integrity. Follow strict OSHA and site-specific health and safety protocols.
