PIPE FITTER

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of refinery, petrochemical, gas plant, or oil and gas piping maintenance experience
• Technical Certification in Pipe Fitting or equivalent trade qualification
• Strong knowledge of piping installation, maintenance, repair, and fabrication
• Ability to read and interpret:
  • Piping Isometric Drawings
  • P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams)
  • Construction and Mechanical Drawings
• Experience in pipe alignment, fit-up, assembly, and maintenance activities
• Familiarity with refinery and petrochemical plant safety standards
• Ability to use pipe fitting tools, measuring instruments, and fabrication equipment

Responsibilities:

• Install, assemble, align, and maintain piping systems according to engineering drawings and specifications
• Perform pipe cutting, threading, beveling, fitting, and assembly work
• Prepare pipes and fittings for welding and installation
• Inspect piping components for defects and ensure proper fit-up before welding
• Replace, repair, and maintain damaged or worn piping systems
• Read and interpret piping drawings, isometrics, and work instructions
• Assist in hydrotesting, pressure testing, and commissioning activities
• Follow safety procedures and permit-to-work requirements at all times
• Coordinate with welders, supervisors, and maintenance personnel during project execution
• Support shutdown, turnaround, and maintenance activities in refinery and petrochemical facilities
