Pipe Fitter

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter in industrial, construction, oil and gas, power plant, or mechanical projects.
• Strong ability to read and interpret piping isometric drawings, P&IDs, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Skilled in pipe measurement, cutting, threading, beveling, fitting, and installation.
• Experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and other industrial piping materials.
• Knowledge of valves, flanges, supports, fittings, and piping accessories.
• Familiarity with pressure testing, alignment, and quality inspection procedures.
• Good understanding of workplace safety standards and safe work practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and capable of working in construction and industrial environments.

Responsibilities:

• Install, assemble, align, and fit industrial piping systems according to engineering drawings and project specifications.
• Read and interpret isometric drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), blueprints, and technical documents.
• Measure, cut, bevel, thread, bend, and prepare pipes for installation.
• Install and secure pipes, valves, flanges, supports, fittings, and related mechanical components.
• Perform pipe alignment, fit-up, and preparation for welding and pressure testing.
• Inspect piping systems to ensure proper alignment, dimensions, and compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct hydrostatic, pneumatic, and leak testing as required.
• Repair, replace, and maintain damaged or defective piping components.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, cutting equipment, and measuring instruments safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with welders, supervisors, engineers, and other trades to complete project requirements.
• Maintain accurate work records and report any technical issues or material shortages.
• Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform other piping and mechanical installation duties assigned by management.
