Nail Technician

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience is required.
  • Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
  • Female applicants are preferred for this role.
  • Proven experience providing professional manicure and pedicure services.
  • Experience with gel, acrylic, and nail extensions.
  • Skilled in nail preparation, shaping, polishing, cuticle care, and finishing.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in nail art and customized nail designs.
  • Good knowledge of nail hygiene, sanitation, disinfection, and safe handling of nail products.
  • Good customer service and communication skills.
  • Creative, detail-oriented, patient, and attentive to clients’ preferences.
  • Able to work efficiently in a professional spa or salon environment.
  • Responsible, reliable, hardworking, and committed to maintaining high service standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional manicure and pedicure services according to client preferences and salon standards.
  • Clean, trim, shape, buff, and polish fingernails and toenails.
  • Perform proper cuticle care and basic nail preparation before treatments.
  • Apply nail enhancements such as gel, acrylic, and nail extensions.
  • Prepare and apply gel polish and other nail products correctly.
  • Create customized nail art designs based on clients’ preferences and requests.
  • Provide professional nail finishing and ensure neat, attractive, and consistent results.
  • Assess the condition of clients’ nails and provide appropriate basic nail care recommendations.
  • Recommend suitable nail care products and provide proper aftercare instructions.
  • Maintain clean, sanitized, and organized nail treatment areas.
  • Properly clean, disinfect, and sanitize nail tools and equipment after each service.
  • Follow salon health, hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards at all times.
  • Properly handle and store nail products, chemicals, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain sufficient supplies of nail products, tools, and other materials needed for daily services.
  • Monitor product usage and inform management when supplies need replenishment.
  • Provide friendly, professional, and attentive customer service.
  • Consult with clients regarding their preferred nail style, color, design, and treatment.
  • Ensure client comfort and satisfaction throughout the nail service.
  • Manage appointments and maintain an organized service schedule when required.
  • Maintain accurate client records and service information when required.
  • Handle client concerns professionally and report significant issues to management.
  • Keep updated with current nail care, nail art, and nail enhancement techniques.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while representing the spa.
  • Perform other nail care and beauty-related duties assigned by management.
