ANENIAS JDOO is seeking qualified Mechanical Technicians / Operators to operate, monitor, and maintain mechanical systems within a fish processing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of boiler and refrigeration systems, monitoring compressors and production equipment, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and maintaining a safe and reliable production environment.
Mechanical Technician / Operator
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent work experience in a fish factory as a Mechanical Technician, Mechanical Operator, Maintenance Technician, or similar position.
- Must possess a Certificate of Employment (COE) verifying relevant work experience.
- Must be at least a high school graduate with a diploma.
- Must hold a TESDA National Certificate II (NC II) relevant to the position.
Experience operating and maintaining boiler and industrial refrigeration systems. - Strong knowledge of compressors, pumps, motors, and other mechanical production equipment.
- Skilled in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, equipment drawings, and maintenance procedures.
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and safe equipment operating practices.
- Physically fit and capable of working in cold storage and food processing environments.
- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends, or holidays when required.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor boiler systems to ensure safe and efficient steam production for plant operations.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain industrial refrigeration systems used in fish processing and cold storage.
- Monitor compressors, pumps, motors, and other mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct routine inspections of mechanical equipment and identify potential problems before failures occur.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on boilers, refrigeration units, compressors, conveyors, pumps, and other production machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Replace worn or defective mechanical parts and components as required.
- Record equipment operating parameters, maintenance activities, and repair work performed.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Follow company procedures for equipment operation, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and preventive maintenance.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to support uninterrupted factory operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping in mechanical rooms and work areas.
- Report equipment abnormalities, safety hazards, and maintenance requirements to supervisors.
- Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new mechanical equipment when required.
- Perform other maintenance and operational duties assigned by management.
